SOUND IDENTIFICATION SKILLS
It is a useful skill for every age group to practice matching sounds to the sources of such sounds, using the sense of hearing. Sound identification quizzes can be used for fun activities. A more critical concern is the need for children to learn to build skills in telling the source, pitch, frequency, duration, and such features of a sound for their health and safety.

Sample questions:
1- What sounds did you hear? (Using the sense of hearing.)
2- If you are counting at a regular speed as your talking speed, how high can you count to match the same time as the time for the last sound ? (Time telling/duration.) Now do the same in guessing how long each of the other sounds lasted.
